duehere works without an account. This page says what the site keeps, what Google sees when you allow it, and how to change your mind.
On your device
Saved lines and stops, recent searches, your last map view and your display settings are kept in your browser's storage. They stay on your device and aren't sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages people use and what to improve: pages visited, time on the site, device, browser and operating system, the page you came from, and a rough location (city level, from your IP address). Analytics cookies are set only if you allow analytics in the privacy banner. Until you do, Google gets only the cookieless signals its consent mode uses to estimate totals.
Google ads
Ads from Google AdSense help pay for the servers. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
Ads are personalized only if you allow advertising in the privacy banner. Otherwise they're chosen from the page you're on, and Google may still use cookies to limit how often you see an ad and to prevent fraud. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center, opt out of other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices
- On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, choose per category, or pick Incognito mode (no Google Analytics, no personalized ads).
- Change your choice any time with , at the bottom of every page.
- Google's Analytics opt-out add-on stops Google Analytics on every site.
- Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything saved on your device, your privacy choice included.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we keep what you write, your rating and topic, the page you sent it from, your browser's user agent and, only if you give it, your email address. To stop spam we also keep a one-way hash of your network address, not the address itself. Only the people who run duehere can read feedback, and we'll delete yours if you ask.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server logs each request: IP address, the page or file asked for, the time, your browser's user agent and the page you came from. We use the logs to keep the site running, stop abuse and count page views. They're deleted as they rotate out, within 90 days at most.
Trip planner and location
To plan a trip, the start and end you choose are sent to our server, which works out the trip; the request appears in the server logs like any other. If you let the site use your location, it's used in your browser to find stops near you, and sent to us only as the start of a trip you ask us to plan.
Maps and transit data
Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, so your browser asks its servers for the part of the map you're looking at. Live vehicles, arrivals and alerts come from each agency's public feeds through our server; looking up a route or stop doesn't build a profile of you.
What we don't do
- No accounts and no payment details.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- No contact details, unless you give us your email with feedback.
- duehere isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by or emailing hello@utatracker.com. We answer within 30 days. People in the EU and UK (GDPR), California (CCPA) and other US states with privacy laws can use the rights those laws give them the same way.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
